ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the effect of visual feedback training on the knee function and balance of postoperative knee fracture patients. Methods:A total of 64 patients were randomly divided into a control group and a visual feedback group, each of 32. Both groups were given routine rehabilitation, while the visual feedback group was additionally provided with visual feedback training from the 3rd to the 8th week after the operation. Before and after 2, 4 and 8 weeks of the intervention, both groups were evaluated using Lysholm scoring, the Tinetti gait test and the Technobody balance device. Results:There was no difference between the two groups in terms of their average Lysholm, Tinetti or Technobody results before the intervention or after 2 weeks of treatment. Both groups had improved significantly after 8 weeks, but the visual feedback group′s average Lysholm, Tinetti and Technobody results were then significantly better than those of the control group. Indeed, the control group′s average Technobody result was no better than before the treatment. Conclusions:Visual feedback training could be useful in treating those in need of rehabilitation after a knee fracture operation.

ABSTRACT

Hepatocellular carcinoma is one of the most common malignant tumors in the world, and its morbidity and mortality have been high. The current preferred treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma is surgical treatment and liver transplantation, but the 5-year survival rate is still low.Due to the insidious onset of hepatocellular carcinoma, most patients have no special manifestations at the initial stage. At the time of diagnosis, they are already in the terminal stage and lose the opportunity of surgery. The Hh pathway plays a key role in the development of tumors. The zinc finger protein GLi plays an important role in tumorigenesis as a key transcription factor in the Hh pathway. At the same time, zinc finger protein GLi can play a key role in the invasion and metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma by inducing epithelial-mesenchymal transition. In addition, the zinc finger protein GLi also interacts with various tumor-related factors to affect the occurrence and development and treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma. This article reviews the role of zinc finger protein GLi in the development and treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma.

ABSTRACT

Objective To inVestigate the Potential mechanism and ProtectiVe effects of osthole on rats with focal cerebral ischemia_rePerfusion injury. Methods Middle cerebral artery occlusion was induced by the suture_occluded method. After 2 h of cerebral ischemia and 24 h of rePerfusion, scores of neurological deficits and infarct Volume were eValuated. The leVels of SOD,MDA,GSH and ATPase were also determined. Results Scores of neurological deficits and infarct Volume were lower in the osthole grouPs than in the model grouP. Meanwhile, the actiVity of SOD and GSH content were increased, while the MDA content was decreased in osthole grouPs. Conclusion Osthole exerts ProtectiVe effects on rats with focal cerebral ischemia_rePerfusion injury.

ABSTRACT

Aim To investigate the protective effects of chrysophanol( Chry) on immune function of lead poi-soning mice. Methods The lead poisoning model was established by peritoneally injecting mice with 7 mg · kg-1 lead acetate every day for 8 days. After Chry was ip injected for 14 days, spleen and thymus index, the white blood cell count, T, B lymphocyte proliferation, phagocytic function of macrophages, natural killer cell ( NK cell) activity were detected. The concentrations of IFN-γ,IL-2,IL-4,IL-10 in the lead poisoning mice ser-um were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay ( ELISA) . Results Intraperitoneal injection of 7 mg · kg-1 lead acetate for 8 consecutive days could cause an immunity decline in lead poisoning mice, Chry could significantly improve the immunity of lead poisoning mice. Compared with model group, Chry sig-nificantly improved growth rate, viscera index and white blood cell count of lead poisoning mice at differ-ent extent ( P0. 05 ) , only IL-10 was significantly increased in Chry ( 0 . 1 mg · kg-1 ) treatment group ( P<0 . 05 ) . Conclusion Chry can significantly improve the im-mune function of lead poisoning mice.

ABSTRACT

AIM To study the protective effects and mechanism of chrysophanol on learning and memory impairment of mice with acute senile model induced by AlCl 3. METHODS After sc of AlCl 3 60 mg?kg -1 for 7 d and ip chrysophanol 10,1,0 1 mg?kg -1 for 15 d, using step-through test and step-down test, the effect of chrysophanol on learning and memory was observed and the superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities in cerebrum and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-px)activities in plasma and cerebrum were measured. RESULTS Chrysophanol 10,1,0 1 mg?kg -1 significantly improved me mory impairment induced by AlCl 3 and enhanced the activities of GSH- px and SOD. CONCLUSION Chrysophanol showed protective effect on br ain memory impairment of mice in acute senile model induced by AlCl 3, perhaps the mechanism is involved in enhancing the activities of GSH-px and SOD, cleari ng away the oxygen radicals, protecting the brain neurons from the harm of lipop eroxide.

ABSTRACT

Aim To observe the effects of chrysophanol on memory impairment and synaptic transmission in the dentate gyrus of hippocampus in AD rats induced by ?-amyloid peptide(A?25-35).Methods AD rat model was established by injection of A?25-35 into cerebral ventricles with cerebral three-dimensional positioning.Chrysophanol of different doses(0.350,0.070 and 0.014 mg?kg-1 ip) were administered continuously.Through the methods of morris water maze test and electrophysiological test, the effects of chrysophanol on memory impairment and long-term potentiation(LTP) induced by high-frequency stimulation(HFS) in AD rats were observed. Results Chrysophanol(0.350,0.070,0.014 mg?kg-1,ip) does-dependently shortened the time of seeking platform and significantly improved the LTP induced by HFS in the DG of hippocampus in AD rats. Conclusion Chrysophanol can improve memory impairment and possess enhancement property on the LTP induced by HFS in AD rats induced by A?25-35.

ABSTRACT

Aim To investigate the effects of quercetin and psoralen on the proliferation of human breast carcinoma cells in vitro. Methods Effects of quercetin and psoralen on the cell proliferation was tested in ER-positive MCF-7 cells by flow cytometer and Western blot. And the estrogen-like effect of psoralen and its relation with the estrogen-receptor were evaluated by pure estrogen receptor antagonist ICI182,780 as a tool. Results ① Psoralen(10 ?mol?L-1) and quercetin(10 ?mol?L-1) stimulated proliferation of MCF-7 cells compared with vehicle control, and the cell cycle was impulsed from G1 to S,DNA synthesizing was enhanced. It was also found the above function on boosting MCF-7 cell proliferation could be inhibited by adding estrogen receptor antagonism ICI182,780.② Psoralen(10 ?mol?L-1) and quercetin(10 ?mol?L-1) up-regulated ER? protein levels without altering ER? levels. The above up-regulation on ER? protein could be inhibited by adding estrogen receptor antagonism ICI182,780.Conclusions Psoralen and quercetin have the estrogen-like activities through the estrogen response pathway. And they exert estrogenic activity to MCF-7 cell proliferation through interaction with ER? expression.
